Planning the Alternate
PL - OUTLINE
The Empower Program cannot be successful without...
effective professional learning. As the designer of this program, I've carefully crafted it around the Five Principles of Effective PD (Gulamhussein, 2013).

First and foremost, true learning takes time. That's why this program offers significant and ongoing opportunities for educators to dive deep into new strategies and grapple with implementation challenges. With meaningful and intentional support, teachers will be equipped to navigate each step of their journey toward a blended learning, student-centered classroom.

Engagement and modeling are at the heart of everything planned. From the very beginning, I try to ensure that educators are actively involved in the learning process, engaging with diverse approaches and hands-on activities that bring concepts to life. Also, by demonstrating blended learning and learner-centered strategies in action, I hope to provide clear examples for educators to follow, building their confidence and understanding every step of the way.

And finally, one size does not fit all. That's why our resources are tailored to the unique needs of each educator, whether they teach middle school science or elementary school math!

Through the professional development for the Empower: Blended Learning Leadership Program, I hope to unlock potential and empower educators to lead with confidence and impact!
